RMweb Premium M.I.B Posted October 16, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 16, 2015 Rob - are you taking photo requests for the weekend? If so, what about the 72XX with some mixed freight please? Or a Hall and vans or any NPCCS TY
RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted October 16, 2015 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted October 16, 2015 Are the Wills one's any use to you Rob?.Same as the Ratio one.I've rechecked the Skytrex one and it has an overall height of 66mm as shewn here.
RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted October 16, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 16, 2015 I wonder if we could see if Mr Modelu might look at producing one if there is one to scan somewhere? Fine bits could be additional parts added by the modeller and I'm sure that Fire Devil is 'universal'. Phil
RMweb Gold Popular Post gwrrob Posted October 16, 2015 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted October 16, 2015 Thanks for all the continued 'likes' on my photos and as the pannier was popular here's 3796 again, this time arriving at Brent.
RMweb Gold Popular Post gwrrob Posted October 16, 2015 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted October 16, 2015 I promise to take some fresh photos but for tonight we have a Hall, Prairie and some horseboxes in one scene.
RMweb Premium St Enodoc Posted October 16, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 16, 2015 I really don't think all this talk of water columns is really helping those concerned with incontinence. Just because its on topic for a change is no excuse such a lack of consideration! Flush. Gurgle. Drip, drip. Splash. I have the Mike's Models water columns, and never questioned their fidelity or quality - are they old hat these days, do either of the more recent offerings represent an improvement? I've got a couple of Mike's Models ones as well, but will need more for the new layout - hence my interest. Photo taken by Terry Onslow of Swindon, circa 1984.
RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted October 17, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 17, 2015 Same as the Ratio one.I've rechecked the Skytrex one and it has an overall height of 66mm as shewn here. So is that Skytrex one really 4 mm scale? I thought they only did 7 mm stuff? medium_0877edf0-72b1-4b57-a449-6feaee34a629.jpeg

RMweb Gold Popular Post gwrrob Posted October 18, 2015 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted October 18, 2015 A murky Autumn morning in the South Hams and The South Devon hunt is happening today. The Spooners and West Devon hunt are visiting and have organised three horseboxes to arrive mid morning at Brent station. Here we see them at Tigley Junction with 3796 doing the honours. I do like brown vehicles.

cary hill
The Dartmoor Hunt races out of South Brent and up to the Station to confront the Spooners crew and to tell them to keep to the West of the Clapper Bridge in future if they know what's good for them.

Interesting area this as horses were definitely passenger rated traffic so rightly should have a passenger van although some undoubtedly finished yup on freight trip workings. RMweb Premium M.I.B Posted October 18, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 18, 2015 Surely empty horseboxes could attract a TOAD, especially if the TOAD needed relocating as well.

RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted October 18, 2015 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted October 18, 2015 A few more as we see the pannier put the train into the cattle dock siding.Hopefully Hornby's Colletts sell well enough for them to consider a full brake to match.
Danemouth
Rob, Over the past year my strong liking for tender engines, particularly Manors, Granges, Dukedogs & 43xx has been gradually replaced with a liking for Panniers and Prairies so as far as I am concerned you can keep 'em coming. Regards, Dave
