RMweb Premium 2ManySpams Posted June 28, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 28, 2014 For a good bit of head banging. I see there's been a lot of negativity in the press and elsewhere about Metallica appearing. I think it is good to see a good eclectic mix of artists,a bit like my wide ranging CD collection. Their Black album is one of my favourites. I hope folk give them an open mind when listening - they should be great.
RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted June 28, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 28, 2014 Metallica .......the iconic folk band from somewhere.....I shall watch with interest. I bet they are loud! Was it them that did 'Sandman'? P

What about Deep Purples Smoke on the Gara ? We could always raid the AC/DC back catalogue for such classics as...... Highway to Brent, Back in Brent and the infamous classic....Whole lotta Finching... On my way to the cloakroom, as we speak... Rob
DonB
Are we sure about the steps? Makes repelling boarders so much more difficult. Think of the unsavoury characters around those parts, such as Algernon Cuthbertson and his cohorts! Will the Sisters sleep easy in their beds? Now where did I put my hat? ......... cary hill
Metallica's natural "home" in this country is probably Donnington, but Eavis has been "brave" this year with his headline acts by inviting them and the Les-tah lager louts. Certainly the mosh pit will be livelier than last year when that firm of Dickensian undertakers (Mumford and Sons) provided the perfect cure for insomnia.......zzzzzzzzzzz Edited June 28, 2014 by cary hill

I think they were great last night, although I'm not sure what my neighbours thought as I had connected the telly to the 5.1 surround sound system. i did notice a bloke near the front of the audience looking a bit bewildered though when the camera panned round early on in the set. On the whole i think the vast majority enjoyed it.
RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted June 29, 2014 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted June 29, 2014 (edited) A beautiful summers morning in South Hams sees a filthy mogul pass the beleaguered beach with a train of perishables destined for Plymouth. The driver is blissfully unaware of the carnage down below. RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted June 29, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 29, 2014 (edited) Blackpool Tower upside down on the beach in Devon would indeed be carnage. EDIT Trevor Hemmings, who owns it, Preston North End football club and Centre Parcs, among other things, might just have a view. I did manage to hear Rob's current beach favourite "Enter Sandman" though. Edited June 29, 2014 by cary hill
