Everyone loves GG1s

I don't....! (although I am tempted to model the GG.5, 4846 using one that is currently painted in UP yellow).

 

They do look surprisingly realistic (better than the Tyco models), if you hadn't mentioned they were Lego I wouldn't have realised.

Even being a Pennsy fan I don't really 'feel the love' for the GG1. I've avoided buying any examples of the exquisite Kato N-scale one and confined my modelling to west of Harrisburg (i.e. beyond the end of the catenary).

 

Those are nice models, though, even if the earliest and most common scheme isn't represented  - 5-stripe DGLE (PRR brunswick green).

It does take a second look... there's a distinct lack of all the little 'pegs' on top of everything that usually gives away anything made of Lego....
