Porcy Mane
I'm not sure the length of train does that beast justice. Ooh. Don't now about that. It used to be a regular sight in the N.E. to see a "Big" loco or a shunter out on the mainline tripping a single or a couple of coal wagons between the goods yard and coal cells. Even the smaller collieries could dispatch just a single coal wagon dependant on traffic conditions. Here's an example at Pelaw. http://www.phantasrail.co.uk/Sid/crop1034s.JPG Where is that? What??? You've never heard of the "Q7 in a Q7"? Have a read through this thread. All will be explained. Smashing historic venue for a Model Railway show. The pic was taken last weekend. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/97233-darlington-exhibition-remember-us/&do=findComment&comment=1822287 P Edited September 15, 2015 by Porcy Mane

leopardml2341
Great Pic Jason, Just one question, how long did you have to wait to get a dry day in Bacup
RMweb Premium Popular Post Jason T Posted September 23, 2015 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted September 23, 2015 There's the thing, the coal drops are not in / on Bacup but on The Mill, whose location has not been specified but for the sake of the shot, is on the dry side (West Riding) I do have a few more shots, already posted in the layout thread and some which have been sent to the EM Gauge Society so will hold off showing them. Below is one which is already in the layout thread and one that I do like but as far as 'How Realistic' is it for his thread, there are quite a few things that give it away as a model including the cleanliness of the chap's clothes, the colour of the hopper doors (poor light in the hall where the shots were taken - Shipley MRS Exhibition) that I am not happy with, and the edge of the World ( baseboard edge) visible, bottom right. The earlier shot wouldn't fool anyone either but it is closer to being believable than this one.
