hybridangel77
Hi all Just a short update on the work i have been doing with the railway arches. As you can see most of this scene is now completed, the walls and pavements are now painted and weathered as is the road. I have now added a second bridge down the far end and added the wall. The arches are now complete with fences and walls and details added. I have also scratch built the girder plates under the rails too. All that is left is the positioning of the vehicles which will be a fire scene and i want to add some street lights as well as some spot lights above the arches.

hybridangel77
Just looking for a before and after shot on the area with the two fire engines The amount of detail in that small area is outstanding It all looks sssssssooooooooo real, that's the beauty of the hobby isn't it I try to make every part of the layout as real as possible but it isn't always that easy to get right. I think the area will come to life once i have added the firemen and some street lighting (fingers crossed).

RMweb Gold fishytrains Posted May 14, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 14, 2015 I really like the latest cameo, even if it is not finished yet. The latest set of photos of the various engines are also excellent and could easily be of the real thing! great work. Mike

hybridangel77
Hi all This weekend i have decided to take the plunge and make a start on the electrical work that is so badly needed on the layout but as most of you all know i hate electrics and always leave it until last. I have started work on the street and building lights on the new arches scenery but that is still a work in progress. I have also worked hard on fitting the signal heads to the overhead gantry as you can see from the photos. The gantry is almost complete and all that's left to do is paint the multi coloured wires that can be seen by hand with black paint.

hybridangel77
Hi all Today i spent some time going over my old class 26 Railfreight red stripe. I just did not like the weathering job i did on it as it was one of my first attempts at weathering and it just did not look good enough so i gave the model a wash with some T-CUT first to try and remove some of the old paint and then went about scrubbing it with a micro brush and got rid of most of the paint but left some around edges and corners and then done a little more weathering to it so it now looks like it represents something more realistic. Whilst i was taking photos of it i took the chance to take a lot of photos of other locos around the layout and post them along with the class 26 so enjoy.
