Why hasn't someone invented a better chip-n-pin machine?

My fat fingers are always making a mistake ort two, when entering stuff, so why don't they add an auto correct facility to it?

With a young Angus Deayton.

When my son was about four we were on a long car journey and put the radio on to get the traffic news. Rather prophetically as it turned out, the first track we heard was "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC. It turned into a fun little game to rename bands with letters in their names in the way that four year olds say their letters. AC/DC became "Ah Cuh Duh Cuh", ABC became "Ah Buh Cuh", XTC became "Ecks Tuh Cuh", UB40 became "Uh Buh Forty".

Obviously we didn't mention the BeeGees.

According to the now current phonetic spelling charts

b = /b/
ee = /i/

g = /dʒ/
ee = /i/
s = /s/

So sounding them out would give

/b/ /i/  /dʒ/ /i/ /s/

And you might get away with it, though the results for all the bands would be very disappointing...  😔

They keep mentioning the WC. I get my hopes up that it will be a Pacific. Then I realise they are going on about 22 grown men chasing a bag of wind around a patch of grass.

.....     Quite similar in format and results 'though.....       😊

4 on pitch officials, 6 England goals, 2 Iranian goals.

Your right 4-6-2. It is a Pacific.🙂

I keep hearing about 4-4-3 formation in football, which seems a very impractical wheel arrangement. Something like an Atlantic with a follower wheel... 🤔

It also means the team has an extra player on the field.
