If the trains always run on time in Germany, exactly what time are they running to?

That's a big "if" - normally somewhere between 5-10 mins late in my experience, especially as the day goes on, and more so with long-distance services.

DBICST anyone?

Probably why they bought some new trucks and gave that one to a farmer to use as a hen house where it was photographed some years later?

I am sure you are right. Parked where it was, among the Hastings fishing boats, after active service, the seagull and its friends have probably caused the mucky sides.
