According to Trump, he heard the bullet coming and moved out of the way sufficiently. 

I don't know much about guns, but I know that a human is incapable of reacting fast enough to dodge a bullet.

Chances are the bullet was also travelling faster than sound, so that it is impossible to hear in the first place until it is too late.
