"ü" isn't even a letter in English so how anyone can demand that that's the "correct" way to spell it in English... I find the whole thing rather arrogant. We'd rightly get short shrift if the UK, for example, told the French that the country is "The United Kingdom" in French, and that they shouldn't call it "le Royaume-Uni." I presume they don't say United Kingdom in Turkish either ("Birleşik Krallık" according to Google Translate). You can't go around dictating what is correct in other languages!
