Adrian I think snorkels are usually fitted on the driver's side pillar, so would be hidden in a shot from that angle.

Oooh!.... Aah, eh, yes, well..... So many funny comments on the exhaust but all missing the point . I'm fairly sure that as a vehicle that will often be used during roadside water repair work it will need to keep the engine running , either to power equipment or just for lights at night , so the exhaust is pointed as far away from low level as possible to avoid killing anyone with fumes . Not sure if that is the case, as ice cream vans would need them too - not only sat all day long in parks/beaches/fairs etc with the engine running, but unlike the Land Rover usually with many members of the public lining up in close proximity too! On the other hand a not unusual and useful addition for any vehicle that may need to wade through deep water, like a Land Rover owned by a water company, that would be very unlikely to use it for roadside repair work, let alone leave it with the engine running. A van/lorry with a towed generator or compressor or what have you would be used - and they don't have raised exhausts either, although some may have the exhaust running out of the top of the machine many don't. 1
