Or they could have dug out a disabled parking space for the family , and installed a lift at the far end to the front door, like the platform lifts the railway now installs alongside footbridges. Indeed, a ramp does take up a lot of space. However, that shows a complete lack of imagination, thought & the ability to think outside the box (which is why some people end up working for the public sector because they would not hold down a career in the private sector).
