^ Tim, that's funny but technically they are Gen Z Falcons.

The millennial cohort ends with 1996. Anyone born in or after 1997 is considered Gen Z.

Can't wait to see our ethnically diverse,  gender fluid, multi- coloured hair, soldierettes in a clown car giving conflict awareness lectures to our "idea challenged friends with different opinions", advert...

Try saying that out loud in a pub full of squaddies and see what happens.

They'll probably applaud, buy you a pint and complain that the C.O. has installed a swear box and is visibly upset if it isn't filled with pound coins by 16.00 each Friday...

Conversely, I wonder what names you give those, who watch carefully for when the bin is emptied and one minute later, it's been collected, washed out carefully and back in it's parking spot!

Then they glare at you smuggly, when yours is still out there one hour later, because you are still at work!

Its more fun if you put the WRONG bin out on the right day, then swap it for the RIGHT bin just before the bin lorry appears.

Provided you don't do it every week, there will be lots of confusion!

I don't think I've ever washed out the bins.

The stuff in the general refuse is all bagged, so doesn't leak noxious substances, and the recycling bin is all dry waste (card/bottles/washed cans) so dosen't NEED washing!

I came home a short while ago and I did notice that several doors down, they did have the wrong bin out. The alternative, I suppose, if you don't know is to put them all out and let the truck driver take what is appropriate for the morning!

So your bags of general waste NEVER split or leak?

I have hosed out bins on very rare occasions, when for some reason it did smell.

Always left the bins out (at my old place, it's all rather moot where I live now) neatly, always came back to find the bin men had left them scattered half way over the road.

I'm going to need one of those in a couple of weeks.

I received a postcard from the garbage collection company that bin day will no longer be the heretofore Wednesday, but Friday forthwith (in a couple of weeks).

Well, hardly ever.

And they're outside, so any smell is not inconveniencing ME.....  🤪

Regularly see all bins put out at several houses on our road, there are only about 20 houses over the 2 miles of road.

Ours are by the road in their cubby hole , so the bin men just choose they one they want. I often have to put the bin back though.

With the current wind direction any smell would arrive in Birmingham soon.

That must be some mighty powerful wind, Alabama is a long way from the UK!
