I tend to agree, but I don't mind people doing one song. But if you banned it we wouldn't have footage of obscure bands playing places like Brazil or Columbia. I watch loads of them on YouTube. It's alright for someone like U2 as they probably have professional film crews filming everything they do. Small bands don't. However my main gripe was if they had done it in portrait landscape they would have got the entire band in! The best use of a phone at a gig I've heard of was when a bloke used his phone to edit Wikipedia before citing it as proof to security that he was the brother of someone in the band and should be allowed backstage.
