The question is how did he get it up there in the first place?

Brings a completely new meaning to the expression "Fire in the hole!"

Every Christmas, about 2 weeks before (or less as this year) we get a letter "pack" of probably 3 Christmas cards addressed to the previous occupant.

Initially for a couple of years there was someone who was visiting said occupant and we gave them to that person to deliver, then we just put a re-direction address on them (another few years).

Now we just put "not known at this address" and dump them back in the post.

We moved here more than 14 years ago and still they come! Why?😆

We have a similar problem since we moved here eighteen months ago. Previous owners were here 22 years.  Letters arrived monthly addressed to someone who is unknown to either of us; they are returned to sender and thankfully have not been seen for two months. What we are worried about is if we suddenly get demands from debtors or bailiffs knocking at the door.

About 80% of the post we receive at the moment is being returned to sender as debt chasing for previous occupiers.

Did have one debt collector a couple of weeks after moving in and just showed him the purchase completion letter from our solicitor and he was on his way with no drama.
