You'll just get some drunk beggar with a JCB...

Notice how all the words and letters are sleeting down William Brown Street towards the library?

To be honest it was the first photo I found that wasn't tiny or a close up of Wellington.

And it did make me happy as I walked past there the other day for the first time in over a year. Went to WH Smiths in the station and then for a couple of pints in the North Western.

It did seem like things were finally getting back to normal.

I bet it won't be long before a large drone has the capacity to lift a traffic cone, if not already.  Watch out Nelson!

Pigeons are thick...

One killed itself by flying into a window on the house.  I've got a photo somewhere of the dusty imprint it made on the glass.  It seemed to have a surprised expression...

It could be bigger but I only found the early 2000s webpage version...

This youtube video linked to from the one just above made me smile:

I'm relieved to say there are at least a few of them I don't recognize :)

I suppose most of them are creations that have appeared in "sci fi" films.  Its a pity that no attempt was made to visualise some Culture GSVs, which ranged from 3.5Km Desert class ships to 200Km System class ships.

Of course, the names of Culture ships are wonderful, I mean, how could you forget "What Are The Civilian Applications?", "Zero Gravitas" or "Ultimate Ship The Second", to name but a few?

Others are also available on alternative football pitches, and villages in various regions of Spain.

Agreed. For some reason I can't put a 'Like' or 'Agree' on your post.

Also, the Nostromo only has the main Mother section, and not the cargo section, which would have made it significantly larger. I don't remember seeing Prometheus or Covenant either, though the Alien ship is there.

If starships are ever built, they are going to have to be big, or at least clusters of interlinked smaller vessels.

We may, as Earth's resources diminish, be building very big, I mean moon sized, space stations to spread out into, and possibly planet sized ones that can run in their own orbits around the sun, with moon sized satellites.  Only the very rich will be able to afford to live on-planet; imagine a council estate with a 25kilomile circumference.

Oh, what fun we'll have...
