And remember whatever password you gave your account in a fit of exasperation at the continuing desire of the BBC to data mine your viewing/listening habits.

Grrrr....

Doesn't make me :) one little bit. Not One At ALL.

Oh cheer up, misery snatched from the jaws of fun as usual

have a look at the Watercress version instead although there’s some really nice shots on the other if you have bothered to put a x in the box to say you have a license ;)

On a computer you have to set up an account to view iPlayer.

On an embedded system (TV/set top box) you just have to say you have a license first time you access it.

Nah the updated version gives you a unique code on screen, you have to go to their website, sign in and then enter the code. This links the tv/box to your bbc account and allows to track your secret strictly fetish...

If you want something to smile at.

Here's my recently delivered pack of D cell batteries from Amazon.

They must be very thin.

(I assume these must be the non-polluting "green" version:D)

The label says the package weighs 0.9kg

Did they not advertise them correctly as the Micro D cells?  Disgraceful lack of precision...  demand a public enquiry based on pensioners injuries, whilst trying to insert, what they thought were standard D Cells into their hearing aids.

A number years ago from Screwfix I ordered a workmate and to top up to free postage a few light bulbs. A couple of days later package duly arrived, yes singular, workmate and some broken glass. When I phoned company and gave the order number, I didn't need to explain, I imagine that the girl saw the order details, including package quantity, and resent the light bulbs, with a note of despair in her voice

:offtopic:

I had a similar experience with a MK consumer unit fully fitted with MCBs.

The packaging (a misnomer if there ever was one) consisted of a box several sizes too big and no internal filling.

Result one broken consumer unit.

I explained what had happened and recommended that the replacement should be restrained in the box

Replacement arrived - exactly the same & also broken, as was a third one.

The fourth one arrived intact, somehow, but Screwfix just didn't get it that they needed some filling in the box to stop them lurching around in transit.

The alternative would be to pack the MCBs in a separate box as it was their weight which caused the internal supports to break and allow them to thrash around inside the case.

BTW Amazon's "bot" refunded the cost of the non existent batteries (since re-ordered) without question.

Swede, carrot, lime

I had to work backwards on that.

"Turnip, carrot, lime" didn't make any sense. Here a Swede is something called Björn or Astrid. (Oddly the second most popular Swedish boy's name recently was Liam and the most popular girl's name was Alice.)

What?   ....  I now have to face the reality of being truly ancient.....

Julian

You mean Neil Diamond who is currently in the charts....  :prankster:

He's got a compliation album out that's something like number five in the album charts. He's having a spell of being trendy with the youngsters for some reason.

I noticed it a while ago when they kept playing Sweet Caroline at football matches.

Stumped me too, until I worked out it was Diamond and carrot/lime made sense.

The first veg should have been one of these...
