That have been going down actually, an old boy round the corner has been taking a few every time he passes by, got a stack more to go out now I’ve switched to digital copies

You could offer to take the lot round to him and then they'll be all gone to someone that appreciates them!

Look at all the subject matters that this protest was about!

Some quotes

1/ 5G mobile phone technology was related to the pandemic

2/ protest against “self-isolating, social distancing, tracking apps [and] 5G being installed”

3/ organisers also spoke about their scepticism of climate change, chem-trails and concerns about anti-globalism.

4/ "People are talking about lockdowns, mandatory vaccines,

5/ they also go into things like microchipping

6/ claimed her research proved the coronavirus pandemic was orchestrated in part by Microsoft founder Bill Gates.

to "spread the message".

7/ "The police just want to intimidate you and scare you,"

8/ "We have a right to visit our mothers, a right to protest."

9/ she felt compelled to come as government lockdown measures had undermined freedom.

10/ She said she did not want to be labelled as anti-science for her scepticism of a coronavirus vaccine, 5G towers and the deadliness of COVID-19.

11/ "We are anti-fake science," she said."You have the right to have choice over your own body."

Perhaps we should organise an Anti-Protest protest, then not turn up?

During lockdown we have been having a ‘yard sale’ for passers by to take what ever they want for free, I think maybe Lola was trying to tell us something this afternoon

Back then, a lot off toss was given for quite mild stuff, colour mags weren't as accessible as the stuff the net provides in these "enlightened" times!

Start at 1 min and enjoy the apoplexy a safety manager would have over here. At 3:45 he changed wagons! ;)

Note the orange slugs at 5:35, they appear to be ex-GP units.

I think you will find they are "Slugs"

Used for distributing engine power. They are just a loco chassis with motors & ballast.

Those ones appear to be very new. As of last night (Sunday), I couldn't find them on any roster site.

I saw this CSX slug (the trailing unit, converted from a GP35) when I was in northern Kentucky (2007),  interestingly the train is in Ohio:

Edit to correct from GP30 to GP35

Some slugs keep driving controls so they can be used leading a train.

The powerpack & cooling system are removed and concrete is used to ballast them to near normal.

It seems a useful way of up-cycling units that need a new engine but have good motors, allowing a large increase in tractive effort to start trains without excessive wheelslip by using surplus power from the mother unit.

Easy, that’s just extending the hi low ratio gearbox principle. 5 forward and one reverse ratios in each of low, mid and high. Add in a further 5 reverse and a reverse reverse (forward), simples!
