RMweb Gold SHMD Posted October 22, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 22, 2019 I wouldn't. Cats are the ultimate creatures of comfort. They just love sleeping in cardboard boxes - the snugger the better. (If the cat was in the slightest way unhappy, it wouldn't stay still long enough to take the photo!) Kev. (The only thing cats love better than a cardboard box, is a paper bag - to play in.)

As aficionados of Terry Pratchet's Discworld will know, the cat (specifically, Nanny Ogg's Greebo) sits on the bristle end, so will avoid the consequences of such accidents!
RMweb Gold SHMD Posted October 22, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 22, 2019 A witches cat is often pictured/situated on the end of a witch/broom combo for weather vanes, so that they point into the wind. Let me assure you that real (Lancashire) witches exchanged cats for brollies years ago! Hence me miss-understanding the op's context. My deepest apologies to Marc. RMweb Premium newbryford Posted October 23, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 23, 2019 Last week, I travelled on one of Northern's new 331 units. After the obligatory train/destination announcement, the guard added. "As you can see it's a new train, let's keep it that way" 7

Jason Yes I had a cat like that once, didn't really mind, but not for long. Also had one dog that loved being vacuumed, another that tolerated it, but clearly not happy. As for the rest, well the cat/dogs were never to be seen in the same room!
