My first thought was - when did they start driving on the right in Birmingham?  But it is probably one of these convoluted road systems commonly found around there.

Road works look at the picture carefully

It seems like they drive  wherever they want in certain parts of that city...….

They also park wherever they like in certain districts

Bus drivers constantly complain about vehicles in bus lanes.

The same cars are there day in day out and not a tapper is done about it.

If you go into Birmingham and no doubt other cities as well, you will see these Uber Eats & Deliveroo etc. riders completely ignoring the road signs as part of their normal routine.

IMHO if they were made to keep to the highway code and not ride their bikes, mopeds et al the wrong way up streets, through pedestrian only areas and up tram only sections they would not be able to offer the speedy service they rely on and their customers would stop buying. Good! They are a total PITA.

Now that Uber etc gig "staff" are being treated as employees, surely the company should be prosecuted for employees breaking the law ?

Who buys Christmas cards in the six months before Christmas? We buy ours after the new year, when they are reduced.

Most people I know buy them 51 weeks before Xmas.  Saves a fortune.

But nobody in authority ever does anything, so there's not much chance of that.

I went into the bank today as I had to withdraw more cash than you can get from a hole in the wall.

After processing the transaction the cashier asked "Have you considered using our mobile banking app?"

I replied "When they invent a 'phone that can print bank notes I'll consider it."

Well, it made me smile. :scratchhead:

I've no idea who my other half's customers actually are but judging by their facebook photos they all look like 'ladies wot lunch', they usually want quality hand made cards, toys, decorations etc but don't have the time to make them. Whoever they are, they're helping to pay off our mortgage!

On another topic about Railway livery colours, I posted a comment that there might be Fake Hues after another contributor suggested the debate might be Fake News.  This set me thinking - so:

Fake booze = non-alcoholic beer

Fake coos = someone imitating a pigeon

Fake doos = invitation to a non-existent party

Fake hues = done that one

Fake jews = circumcised gentile

Fake loos = public inconveniences

Fake moos = someone else imitating a cow

Fake news = the original

Fake poos = plastic dog muck

Fake queues = bendy snooker cue

Fake twos = 1.5 or 2.4 rounded

Fake views = theatre back scene

Fake yews = model trees

Fake zoos = empty animal sanctuary

Over to the more creative . . .
