steaming_chris
What a lot of people dont know is that Mr. Stanier and Mr. Bachmann had something secret on the drawing boards
DavidBelcher
A de-streamlined A4. Ok so it looks just like an A3. Not much different under all that metalwork. Except for the tell-tale "wedge" cab. If the LNER had gone down the Duchess route and de-streamlined the A4s, I suspect the end result would have been a mix of the production series A1s and "Great Northern" in appearance. steaming_chris
Mr Collett and Mr Bachmann had some 0-8-0 frames hanging around so when these 56XX came in for overhaul different frames were added and put to use on short South Wales traffic
Matloughe
I love these; keep them coming! Personal favourite has to be the Tender Terrier, and a close second the stretched T9. I might have a go at the Tender Terrier... Cheers, ~ Matloughe

Edge
What would have happened if the GWR and the LMS had agreed that the latter could build a batch of 'Castles' for their own use? I'm thinking of calling it 'Crewe Castle'

Leicester Thumper
What if Brush used their successful class 31's as a basis for producing overhead electric versions?
Suzie
What if Brush used their successful class 31's as a basis for producing overhead electric versions? If I was a skilled graphics person I would try a skinhead version with twin diamond pantographs for Liverpool st. - Chelmsford DC operations. Class 79 perhaps?
