TonyW
Looking for inspiration for a OO loft layout (22' x 14') and I am thinking of baseing it on a trunkated version of Rugby Midland circa late 1950's. Plenty of scope for WCML passenger/goods and local connections to Coventry, Leamington Spa, Northampton etc. plus a large loco depot. Can anyone help with track plan of Rugby around this era? andyrush
The NRM holds large scale track plans for Rugby from the BR/OPC Joint Venture Collection under references 36004(4), 36005(4) (Station); 23161(MPD) Andy
Nick Holliday
Google maps provides a reasonable outline of the current tracks, and gives an idea of the size. Between the MiIlbord Road and Clifton Road overbridges is something like 5,500 feet, or just over a mile, and compressing that into 22 feet is going to be a challenge. The older track layouts can be found on the old-maps website, but Google is useful as it has a scale bar.
