floss_4
Moorswater still seems to be in use. Does anyone know what the logistics are of the road operation to supply it and if volumes would suit a return to rail in the future?

eastwestdivide
Bit more on Hope Construction on p2 of this thread. There always used to be a fair few Blue Circle lorries around Hope anyway, so it's probably not much change on that front. The Dewsbury-Hope train is running pretty frequently at the moment (sometimes a class 70), and Dewsbury's a fairly short run from Hope, so evidently either the economics or the "ecologics" still add up. I'd have thought the National Park residents would be up in arms if there had been a major transfer to road.
