madgasters
Trying to find some HO figures with baseball and cowboy hats for my layout, but have had no luck anywhere. Can anyone help? Β Paul Β Β
Removed a/c
Have you tried Preiser? I definitely know they have a cowboy figure. Also try Merten.
Jon Gwinnett
Preiser also do a truck driver figure in a baseball cab
doctor quinn
It may sound extreme but I have filed the heads of Preiser "Hard Hat" figures to resemble baseball hats, though I don't think I've photographed them! Β Nick
RMweb Premium Old Gringo Posted June 7, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 7, 2012 The Preiser set number 10031, of five track workers, has two guys with stetsons, one with a sombrero and two with unusual brimmed hats. To me one of these looks a bit like a "pork pie hat", but then to those who know me, well it would, wouldn't it? Β As mentioned by "britfarmer", I'm sure I've seen a proper cowboy figurine in the Preiser range too. Β Just noticed that the Transition era freight train crew (Preiser set 10453) has some men with U.S. "engineers peaked caps", which look pretty close to baseball caps. Β Hope this helps, Β All the best, Β John.
Prof Klyzlr
Dear RMwebbers, Β Mod'ing existing caps and hats is entirely do-able, don't be afraid of it. However, also worth noting that the Woodland Scenics figures range has exploded in the last few years, a number of cowboy and baseball options available... F-UnitMad
.... worth noting that the Woodland Scenics figures range has exploded in the last few years, Β ...and so have some of the figures... http://woodlandscenics.woodlandscenics.com/images/NewWSWeb/A2728_f_1.jpg Β Reminds me of a Clarkson comment, about '1 in 3 Americans weighing as much as the other two put together'.... shortliner
This is the only cowboy in HO that I could find http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/psr/psr29065.htm, although there is allegedly an Airfix set in HO
shortliner
Digging a bit further threw up this link http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=34798 which may help with the problem - maybe suitable for head transplants - see the link to the wargaming figure company - the photo looks as though there are possibilities if using 1:87 scale
