RMweb Premium 2ManySpams Posted February 9, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 9, 2013 Well the layout fits together, trains run and lots of folk are having a look. A few gremlins to sort out but we're very pleased with how it's come together. Loads and loads of questions and positive comments about Andy York's photo backscene which looks stunning! Just need to learn how the layout works now and to try and work out the difference between Mark's 25s, 24s and 31. They are all blue!

DonB
I can confirm the effectiveness of Andy Y's back-scene. Really set the layout in context for me. His cottages do look a little hidden by the embankment from the viewing side, and difficult to appreciate his workmanship. At mid-day trains were running faultlessly, a most impressive sight, on an impressive layout. (even if I prefer steam,... ducking for cover!).
dave_long
The background is instantly recognizable to a local. Although the colliery line does seem to go off stage through a church. Nothing better than watching baby sulzers and choppers wind there way through that scenery. Well done to all involved!
Coombe Barton
Good doesn't describe it - superb is much better. It really stood out with Damien's lighting choice - lessons for us all there. And it's consistently good - all round. Crowds round it all day. Coombe Barton
And it really is a tribute to the engineering skills of those guys that it went together as it did and looks the part.

Coombe Barton
I didn't take any - was too crowded earlier then the crowds thinned out too late and I had to come home. Good for Warners that the crowds were there, though.
