28XX
I remember being shocked to see chips in Towyn (other spellings are available) on sale for 7p whereas they were 5 1/2p at home in 1974.
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted January 3, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 3, 2013 That'll be the special rate for the English Tourists - the locals didn't pay that much...
stewartingram
Fish and chips twice please! Very nice. As my mate from Dublin used to ask - 1 portion of chips and 2 straws please! (we shared the portion) Stewart

RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted January 3, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 3, 2013 The ordered toilets have now arrived from Scalelink. Question (for Chris) - how much room will there be between the right hand end of WC's and the tin shed that forms part of Flavio's Tennents site ? If this, below, is sort of what might be proposed layout, then my little extension (quiet at the back !) will be half hidden...
RMweb Premium 2ManySpams Posted January 3, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 3, 2013 To be honest Stu, I won't know for sure until Saturday. The layout is coming together for the first time and I'll be able to mark everything up on the full size boards to see how it looks. As such there may be some minor moving about to get the positions right and make sure we still have good views through to the canal behind. The tin shed is a 'variable' feature the size of which will depend on the space left.
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted January 3, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 3, 2013 That's fine Chris. Hopefully there will be enough space for all the buildings...

RMweb Premium 2ManySpams Posted January 3, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 3, 2013 When do you need them by ? (And when is the absolute MUST HAVE them by ?) We'll be going through the works programme on Saturday and I'll let you know the actual dates, but my off-the-cuff thoughts are 2 weeks before the Doncaster show ideally and 1 week as an absolute must... Arthur
BCB legend has it of a fabled mobile chippy, appearing here and there, providing sustenance for the locals. Shadow
Wagonbasher said ..... It will need to be dirtier and it will get a further wash of something dirty when dressing the layout...... What are you planning to dress the layout in? Suspenders? Basque? Garters? Corset? or even dirtier than that, a pair of Nora Batty's tights!!

Ian Fisher
I saw something similar in a craft fabric shop, I think they are used to transfer paper patterns to fabric and from the ones I have seen usually come with a few choices of spiked wheel. Ian I've always known them as pouncers - http://vimeo.com/12618233 I guess it's a case of find one with the right no. of teeth and diameter etc. Edited January 13, 2013 by Ian Fisher
