Boris
Typical, I carry the camera all day and only take a dozen photos, I might put the rest up later, or I might be too idle! First up, some proper traction and none of this kettle nonsense. S15 on the steam crane in the only bit of sun all day 92214 passing the kettle on the crane job An early self propelled snowplough. RMweb Gold chriswright03 Posted May 13, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 13, 2012 Mick I hope you don't mind if I put a few of mine in from today. Started at Pickering then went onto Goathland but didn't stop as I was looking for Bittern which wasn't there so then onto Grosmont. Not there either but one of the volunteers assured us that it was on it's way back from Pickering so we waited and guess what it wasn't and it was Cock o' the North which we had seen at Pickering earlier. Still a good day and managed to get some reasonable (for me) pictures if a little over exposed at times. So first Cock o' the North waiting at Pickering presumably taking over fro Bittern which we missed! Britannia entering Grosmont Sir Nigel back in action after many months in bits ready to race a nippy little sports model! None of Mr York's fake fag smoke here! Britannia and Sir Nigel set off together alas I had left the video camera in the top box of my bike so stills only which is a real shame as the sight and sound were fantastic. Lastly just a nice view of the tunnel and station and the hill that we came down last time we were there having walked from Goathland. An excellent walk and a great view as you climb over the top of the tunnel.
