73c
That Peak in the background hauling a tanker (TTA??) plus mark1 coach.....really???? The Peak looks like it has some panels missing so I'd say all 3 are scrap
Jack374
https://flic.kr/p/RmkrJU Surely a model...cleanly ballasted trackwork (using the new Peco bullhead points), photoshopped backscenes to hide the sides of the layout and to top it all; running in of the new Bachmann FFA/FGA wagons! pH
This really looks like a model to me, but I cannot explain why: http://www.railpictures.net/photo/680436/
david.hill64
This really looks like a model to me, but I cannot explain why: http://www.railpictures.net/photo/680436/ Gaudy backscene, no weathering of the stock, plastic bridge kits, lack of plants. Definitely a model.
RMweb Gold Dunsignalling Posted December 12, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 12, 2018 Gaudy backscene, no weathering of the stock, plastic bridge kits, lack of plants. Definitely a model. And, I suspect, heavy handed use of the "enhance" function after the file was moved from camera to computer. John
Wickham Green
.... probably a proscenium arch for the lighting : maybe 'warm white' would have been better than 'glare'.
pH
Very simple but effective scenic treatment: http://www.railpictures.net/photo/685241/ Someone showing off their newest Athearn locos: http://www.railpictures.net/photo/685277/
RMweb Premium njee20 Posted January 26, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 26, 2019 Not sure about the snow. Looks too heavy, it wouldn’t sit on the trees like that.

bimble
The 1st one looks as though it has a pantograph? Stewart I think it's for knocking icicles in tunnels down.
pH
The 1st one looks as though it has a pantograph? Stewart The locos used on snow-clearing duties on Donner Pass have various modifications - icicle breakers, clearview windows, mesh screens on cab windows, snow hoods over the engine air intakes (and probaby others as well). Here's a picture showing all of those on a GP38-2: http://www.railpictures.net/photo/349287/ 2
pH
The very realistic figures to the right just add the finishing touch: http://www.railpictures.net/photo/685506/
lmsforever
Should have weathered the locos and some of the figures needed more realistic poses.
RMweb Gold Ramblin Rich Posted February 5, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 5, 2019 Not a railway subject, but this footage made me think of a model set with stage smoke across it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-norfolk-47132158/drone-captures-southrepps-radiation-fog-daybreak
Porcy Mane
Those DCC smoke units work really well. Not too sure about the soundchip though? https://www.flickr.com/photos/stuart166axe/32054658287/in/dateposted/ Edited February 7, 2019 by Porcy Mane
RMweb Premium Popular Post Andy Kirkham Posted February 14, 2019 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted February 14, 2019 (edited) Leaving Carlisle. by John Whiteley, on Flickr "How to fill a corner" Artfully conceals that just inside the tunnel mouth there's a really tight curve to the fiddle yard round the back of those houses. Never leave a square inch empty if you can fill it with sidings. Excellent backscene. Edited February 14, 2019 by Andy Kirkham
RMweb Gold daveyb Posted February 15, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 15, 2019 Couple of Smiths or Hartman models of Scammell Routeman 8-wheel tankers in the background with the newer Pretflos, better than the old Airfix kits. The weathering on the Peak's headcode box has gone a little awry...

johnlambert
Don't you hate it when someone tries to squeeze an extra platform into their layout and it ends up unrealistically narrow?
