n-gauge
I have recently acquired a few Dapol B1 locos with duplicated numbers. How eay is it to removed the numbers / lining without disturbing the paint finish? I'm planning on changing the BR black models into lined black LNER. Guest 40-something
Hi T-Cut on a cotton bud, gently rubbed should remove the numbers, the lining on LNER & BR loco's differs so it may be best to re-line, or weather heavily!

Guest 40-something
Hi Paul I'd imagine it would, failing that a fibreglass brush or nail-polish remover (tested on an unseen part of the shell first!)
millerhillboy
I just posted my solution here.....http://www.rmweb.co....57/#entry684858 Not saying the approach above won't work, sure they will, just that I renumber every loco I've got and this method hasn't let me down yet. I find it gives me a lot of accuracy to the point where I can even remove individual digits if I'm careful. Here's a B1 (albeit Farish) that I done not so long ago and a Dapol renumber as well, just to prove it works on Dapol as well as Farish
