Took the good lady out for the day yesterday to Matlock Bath for sunday dinner and on the way back we called into Matlock station, couldn't believe my luck there was a Peckett / Hudswell type of tank loco waiting for me...(and no lining)

Jennifer is an 0-6-0 tank locomotive built by Hudswell Clarke & Co in 1942. It spent its working life as Samuel Fox & Co Ltd's no. 20. It has been donated to Llangollen Railway Trust Ltd., and was moved to the line from Winson Engineering of Daventry in 2001. The Trust is funding restoration as finances permit. it really fired up my interest in small tank locos l must say....

The Peckett is all complete now and waiting for the visit to Andys paintshop for a weathering job, it will be a very busy life for the little engine so l think a heavy weathering job is needed, (l hate clean engines)...

Thanks Guys for all the likes and comments, the peckett had a really good run both ways with heavy loads yesterday on my O guuge club test track but to me she looks TOO clean and not very realistic, so hoping after my trip down to Andy's next week should fix the problem..

That looks very nice George - Great work Andy :good:

Cheers, Bob.

Hi Bob, Yes Andy has done a cracking job for me on the Pecket, also he has given me some very useful tips on weathering future locos myself. l did a video of the weathering as he done it and noted down all the colours that he uses, which is four subtle colours, very clever...

Getting on with the J94 build and its going together well (at the moment) ...l have added some more strengh to the chassis as there were only three spacers to hold it originally and it was a bit flimsy...
