PhilM
http://www.blackhawknrhs.org/eje2.htm Β fascinating film of a journey on the EJ&E. Useful for early 70s trackside details.

Β£1.38
I see the barriers at crossings didn't come down. Was this because the hi-rail truck wasn't triggering them?
Talltim
I noticed that and wondered the same. I also wondered if all those drivers crossing right in front of the hi rail would have done so with a proper train?

Hi Railers I see here usually don't trigger the grade crossing circuits...instead the hi rail drivers pull up to the crossing and cross the traffic just like at a road intersection.
