Chris Laurie will no doubt be able to confirm, but I think that the chap standing on the left is Roger Jones. Andy
Chris Higgs
Valour was often running with her front bogie off on the Saturday. Somehow Tim is able to defy the laws of physics and get his locos to stay on the track regardless. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nP4PyCR1DHDRbLjxb-8bG6ElTDpsZMe8/view?usp=sharing Anyway, here is the man himself making adjustments to the permanent way. Which is what was at fault. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WqXGbcauYyfOuZbH_JNX9Auv_AI9cUvg/view?usp=sharing Chris Edited June 20, 2022 by Chris Higgs

Very disappointed I couldn't make it, but another commitment I was asked to take on at the end of last year had to take priority. Jim

SiHumph
60 year old groves loco looking every bit the part on CF. The 2-6-2 and three others ran too but was too busy watching them and smiling to get anything on my phone. There’s a couple more pics on my Rydes vale post and the CF post.
RMweb Gold 2mmMark Posted June 21, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 21, 2022 On 19/06/2022 at 21:20, Chris Higgs said: Some layouts were easier to photo than others. Mark Fielder even had a video of the real British Oak, complete with its yellow liveried Jinty. Nice photos, Chris, thanks! The orange on the Jinty is far too intense, it looks like a 1970s Laverda Jota. It does need a repaint, I used Vallejo acrylics and the orange just didn't go on very well. The black/grey I used on the rest of the loco went on very nicely. Mark

I know this will be no match compared to actually seeing it, but it would be good to see what John made of the rules. Best Regards Chris.

Sithlord75
Having made it safely back home (albeit late due to storms in Germany meaning we lost our path out of Heathrow) I thought I could contribute some of the photos I took at Derby. It was well worth the trip (and the two year wait) with lots of inspiring modelling. Moretonhempstead: 18

RMweb Premium Popular Post Nick Mitchell Posted September 17, 2022 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted September 17, 2022 I didn't take many photos at the NEAG party last weekend, but I did take a few snaps with my phone of my Coal Tank posing in various places around Wansbeck Road after the Groves Trophy judging. I know it is an anatopism, but I really like the pictures and wanted to share them - Wansbeck Road is such a wonderfully atmospheric layout, and the loco looks really at home there.
