Is this for real?

or am I in the wrong job - I can build track as well.

Or if that's too pricey - why not just by half of it?

Sounds about right.

£199 for the first item and £79.50 for the second  if bought new.

If I am reading my price list correctly.

I have recently bought some new simple points and at around £25 I reckon they are a bargain in terms of quality/price/time to build.

My disposable income doesn't stretch to those sorts of figures - maybe that's why I though they were pricey. Perhaps I am in the wrong job. :dontknow:

I kind of think that way when I see certain scenic items or examples of pro weathering.

'Like New'

http://www.ehattons.com/91424/Bachmann_Branchline_31_057_LN_Class_J72_0_6_0T_in_LNER_plain_black_Pre_owned_Like_new/StockDetail.aspx

Have to say it's unusual for Hattons, who are generally pretty good with their descriptions.

Is this the experimental "Fireless" J72, for use in armaments depots? ;)

The addition of the Class 25 bogie really brings a touch of class to this already astounding heap of shite.

Referencing the earlier mention of the Hornby "Railway Workers cottages"...

This is an example of these, listed as the waiting room.... ;)

A bit of a mixture this one...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-R501-010-Waiting-Room-Bench-for-Model-Railway-/281478505166?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item41896d22ce

The box is for the BR version of the long ex Transcontinetal Mail Car.

The TPO is the short BR series version.

Theset down collector is from the later Hornby LMS/GWR Mail car I think...

The pick up is possibly correct for the box...

The listing says complete, but one set of track clips, for the pick up, is not shown.

Nor are the two operating ramps that clip into the track....which would in fact operate the short BR TPO, as well as the long TC TPO.

EDIT:

This is the correct TPO...

Has anyone spotted the batch of five Hachette Mk.1s, with West Coast lettering, being hawked on eBay for a bargain £24....each!???

Here they are!  :O

Meanwhile he's got a proper Bachmann coach for a sensible 99p start though it doesn't feature the flush glassing that the Hachette's have.

Not 'madness' in the established sense of ridiculous expectations for tat etc., but this had me wondering.

A class 47 chassis here - bid up to £40.00 at time of this post:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-chassis-class-47-/121466540876?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item1c47f8534c

whilst a few entries down on the same search, this:

Is a buy it now.

Some people astound me. :dontknow:

The 'bid up' was in fact just one bid at opening price - at least there is not a idiot under-bidder as well!
