Ah, the good old days, pub food in plastic baskets, dried-out chicken portion and soggy chips.  We thought we were Gods...

It was a world away from a bag of nuts or a packet of scratchings! When 'gastro' meant a visit to A&E!

I’m stunned, almost to silence, at this offering and - what a BARGAIN! 🤣

Forgetting the railway just for a moment (I know, it’s hard, once seen it’s difficult to unsee) but I’m wondering where exactly that large aircraft is going, given that no runway has been modelled for it to take off or land at? Or maybe it’s an outsized version of those Air BnBs converted from old Gulfstream Executive Jets?

And I’m still left wondering why the outfall from that waterfall isn’t gushing out of the tunnel mouth and into the harbour - it appears to be the shortest route.

Ah well, the wallet is safe for now!

One of my relatives got sacked as a sales exec in the 80’s for not hard selling with sufficient vigour his company’s line of plastic baskets designed for the then-booming chicken in a basket market. Clearly more of a Berni Inns man!

Well, it's not from Yorkshire, ergo, it's continental.

If it has leaky cylinders, would that make it incontinental?

I've met a few from Yorkshire that are dyed in the wool flat earthers, convinced that if you go five miles south of Sheffield you drop off the edge into the abyss... 😉

There’s been a long rivalry between Lancashire and Yorkshire - crikey, it even reached the status of being a war! - but when I was at university in Yorkshire I remember being told that that rivalry was as nothing compared to Yorkshire, where neighbouring villages could have fallen out sometime in the far past and still be holding a grudge against each other in the present day!

I thought I was being wound up until some friends from Horbury (outside Wakefield) were talking in less than flattering tones about the people from Ossett (literally the town next door)!

Also, having taken my 3 speed cast iron* bicycle to university with me,

I can honestly state there is nowt flat about West Yorkshire! 🤭

Eh ba gum? 🤔

Discounting the daft description, its probably not a bad price for a Triang "Nellie", the body itself is in good nick, there aren't any apparent cracks around the body screw, the footsteps are all present, as are the buffers!

And most M.C.s (Mendacious Chisellers) would charge even more for the X04 alone, contained within its simplistic body shell.

What's not to like!

There are people who could have an argument in a phone box with no change.

We still have bicycles that are made out of recycled panzers, if you flattened out all the hills in Lancashire, part of the county would be in Ireland... 🤨
