RMweb Premium brushman47544 Posted March 15, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 15, 2013 Sometimes sellers really don't help themselves... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bachmann-two-car-class-105-blue-DMU-DCC-FITTED-/310619131054?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item485257ccae "Mint boxed", but the wrong box is shown in the photo and the Class 105 was not DCC fitted when new, so presumably the seller has added a decoder... Might explain why the reserve has not yet been reached.
RMweb Premium brushman47544 Posted March 15, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 15, 2013 Not sure this counts as madness, but it made me laugh out loud. Why would anyone think this was train set related, as opposed to something else? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UNKNOWN-item-TRAIN-SET-thing-or-Alien-Communicator-/190809138188?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item2c6d1c640c If you wanted one of whatever it is, how would you expect to find it if listed like this!

andyman7
Fair play it is a nice livery too! I don't buy coaches that often and still fondly remember the days I started in the hobby as a kid with pocket money and a coach was about £12 from Gamleys! Yup, when I started Hornby Mk3s were £4.75 at RRP - but then again they were underlength by a scale 11 ft and missing a window each side!

Trains&armour
This one sure knows how to advertise: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111031260982 Made me smile, anyway And this is an optimist: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251244934050 Some defects, but hardly worth mentioning...... "This is an easily assembled kit of a footbridge. Boxed with instructions and parts as shown. Three of the black 'legs' are missing (but you can use this easily with just 4 legs supporting the bridge). The 4 outriggers are missing. Otherwise this is complete and in very good condition." Looks like a bit of Telecom test equipment with the Uniselector and several 3000 type relays. Could actually be useful for electromechanical model railway use! RMweb Gold Metr0Land Posted March 16, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 16, 2013 Possibly a bargain coming up for an N gauge continental modeller if they're watching this? No bids so far. Horsetan
Anyone on here trying to double their money ? Note that they were careful not to say which one out of the 400 it is. Will they be including the original purchase receipt in case the new owner needs to make a warranty claim? RMweb Gold Metr0Land Posted March 16, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 16, 2013 The high bidder seems keen to get this but has an ebay score of zero. I wonder if his enthsiasm will wane if he wins? Removed a/c
If he is in the know he could get back what he paid for it by selling some of the items that are included. I would certainly pay that for it and dump the layout part.

I would certainly pay that for it and dump the layout part. If the layout doesn't come apart cleanly - and why should it - it's hard to see the value. Secondhand track having been ripped up is a pretty dodgy commodity, and that just leaves his choice of buildings, which might be good, or might not. Currently going for about £185, which is a lot more than I'd pay for a lot of work to get it out and discover what is salvageable. EDIT - Now passed £200! RMweb Gold Metr0Land Posted March 17, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 17, 2013 And his anger about it seems to get ANGRIER AS THE DESCRIPTION CONTINUES. His spelling doesn't improve though. Don't buyers CARE about this sort of thing any more? Must admit I find it a real turn off. I can understand people getting mixed up between some spellings, and use of apostrophes, but when they use words that don't exist because they can't be @rsed to use a spell checker I GET REALLY ANGRY
