EBay madness

Went for a higher price (£1) than it could been bought from High Level kits with a presumption of completeness and gear ratio variety not listed.

But that is not madness - where would all the excitement be in ordering it direct. £1 is a small price to pay for all that fun - and you just might have been lucky to have got it for £1 less! No chance of that by ordering direct.

Our 'friend' Cartmel yet again.

These items are getting too common, but I couldn't resist this piece of tat at about three times what it would cost elsewhere.

I'm not sure by whom it's "HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER." They are very common and usually quite cheap. So common, that he has several of the rarer 2 rail version (obviously at even higher prices!)

In the unlikely event that anyone wants one, there is a much better example BIN @ £50 (though the roof has been repainted).

I've purchased something similar from Homebase for £9.99. Edited by PhilJ W

Times must be getting hard!

I do often wonder what prices would be realised if our 'friends' ever put their stuff up for auction rather than BIN prices.

TBF to him thats 2 he has listed reasonably of late, there was a PC LNWR coach listed at 20 odd £ which was about right, the only reason I didnt manage to nab it was because it was the wrong side of payday :(

Guest Belgian

Here's another of his somewhat-unbelievable prices. I've seen this relisted at least four times and he's increased the price in that time. Does he think a mug will one day come along?*

I've got a virtually identical one here: does anyone think he would give me that much for it????

JE

*Obviously he must do.

I know it's our friends in Sheffield, but, seriously, what?! If I were spending £40 on a pannier I think I'd get a Bachmann 57xx personally...

It is the almost the only way to get a 94xx. It's a pity it's such a poor model - even the old Farish one is better. But £40 odd quid is decidedly OTT.

Their stuff alwaya seems to attract a number of bids straight away, even on 10 day listings which IS unusual for normal bidding patterns and then rarely fails to attract a really high price, to the extent that I personally automatically ignore anything from them even when it is an appealling item - I feel I'm not alone in the room in their auctions if you get my drift....................
