EddieB
Ok I know that it is not railway related but I would not like to pay that price for a box of plastic parts. http://www.ebay.co.u...=p2047675.l2557 Terry That's more than the "prototype" would be worth!

Removed a/c
Bit misleading as there doesn't appear to be 24 pieces, he is counting the larger pieces as two and they are not. Still kind of neat though

Is it a US loco? There were a number of US built tanks that were brought over to the UK during WW2. They ended up on the Southern Railway, mostly in Southampton Docks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SR_USA_class Cheers, Mick

Il Grifone
That's more than the "prototype" would be worth! Not far short of the price new (£979) Now apparently they start at £100 - there's one on the web at £595! (Granted an old ad.) LNWR lives on
He also seems to have difficulties shipping Peco track beyond the UK. I wonder how Hattons etc manage!! Similar to the over 600mm for First class postage thing, he has had over seas orders before and they have gone awol/been damaged and the hassle for sales ratio he gets is just not worth the agro to mail this overseas, hence thats the get out clause he uses Go in the shop and they are always more than happy to help as best they can, they have a superb range of traditional stuff as well as model railways and are always happy to order stuff in for you
