I seem to remember they sold reasonably well in the heyday of white metal kits.

Looks like it's on the HD R1 tank chassis. (like my Wills U1!)

I'd think about paying about 2/3rds of that sort of money if it had a half decent chassis, but not that load of rubbish!

Ah well it is from our friend, who still has this load of overpriced cr*p for sale (7 years now). Surely the bin must beckon for it by now!

He must have spent more on fee's keeping it up on feabay for that long, than what he would get for the lump of lead.

Looks like it has had a respray into grey to me!

Take one can of dirt - spray and then bung bits of white and mud on it........ First thing to do is to strip it and repaint before its reweathered. By the time Brits got really dirty nameplates were optional!

I think the poor thing really needs to be put down! :O  (It would be difficult to get all the cr muck off the body and a new body and tender (if you can get them) would cost nearly as much as a brand new model.)

Just had a lucky escape. I was looking at the exorbitantly overpriced 'Flatiron' (£100 would still be too much IMHO) and suddenly found myself on the 'Commit to buy' page! - Rapid exit by closing the tab.

Not trains but I'll come to that. He's got a number of these *Rare* Routemasters for BIN £2.95 each + p/p. Not much for rarity is it?

He's also got the Bachmann Blue Pullman for full RRP of £349.95

Maybe the seller's name needs refining from mank to manky?

I have added a photo of a weathered J39 in the Gallery - its been done in Yorkshire so its a bit more subtle(!)

Not entirely convinced of "build to a good standard" here.
