RMweb Premium kevinlms Posted October 18, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 18, 2012 (edited) Here's a special from Australia. http://www.ebay.com....=item23238e696a Too bad, its Victorian Railways rather than Queensland (Banana Benders). Hurry, hurry, hurry. Nothing else quite like, so worth the starting price? Edit - SOLD for $41.00 after 3 bids. Postage is $17.00 for registered post - whose going to nick it? cromptonnut
Hurry, hurry, hurry. Nothing else quite like I have a Bachmann 100 ton oil tank that I didn't notice I'd left too close to a heater once that went in a similar way so it's not quite unique. One end's bogie ran fine on one line, and the other end's bogie was fine on the adjacent track...

cromptonnut
You could allways do a Summit Tunnel fire diorama. Not sure quite how I'd reproduce this effect though, given that some exhibition managers have issues with locos fitted with Seuthe smoke machines. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xf3WKTwHpIU

RMweb Premium pete_mcfarlane Posted October 19, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 19, 2012 Nothing like some realistic weathering to make your model stand out from the crowd! http://www.ebay.co.u...D-/221141294633 "put your model upside down in the oven for five minutes, and then..." Sierd Jan I think they've tried to recreate the battered look that these wagons got when loaded by mechanical grabs - especially when used by the engineers for spoil. There was an article in (I think) Model Rail years ago on how to do this with a heat gun. But, as usual with eBay weathering, it's not been done very subtlety.
