If they take that little care over their listings (you can after all view your current lisings in control panel) then I never buy from them.

Il Grifone
??? probably a Typo but some other items seem overpriced. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item337aa9d5cd Leaving aside the price of the box, £4 for p&p makes the purchase too expensive - pay a bit more and get a free wagon with it! RMweb Gold Metr0Land Posted August 22, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 22, 2012 My wife used to collect TT but she never had anything like this. Can't believe there's a bid at £49.99 - it's not the Triang DMU but something modified, and then painted by David Blunkett Associates. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRI-ANG-TT-MAROON-DMU-RAILCAR-/180953740326?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item2a21aef426
RMweb Gold Re6/6 Posted August 22, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 22, 2012 If I wanted one I'd be bidding at around that price. Would probably end up at around £300+ maybe more. As I posted before "Possibly a tad dear, but the etched kit would have to cost £120+ to start with. I've been quoted £300+ for the professional building of something similar."..also add the wheels etc.

RMweb Premium Grovenor Posted August 22, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 22, 2012 That railcar looks to be bashed from the Triang coaches. And Yes, Kitmaster did do their coaches in TT, much better than the Triang ones, and Kitmaster also did the Royal Scot. Keith

Keith The Kitmaster Mk1's were the correct length, unlike the Triang shortie Mk1's. How I wish I'd kept my 10 Pullmans and 6 boxed blue/grey Mk1's............................ (Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I did find a couple of VERY rare TT transcontinental items in my stash a couple of years ago - thanks Ebay!) Il Grifone
Current £53 for a small yard crane , bonkers http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1426.l2649 There appears to be a market for D & S kits. Perhaps it's time to market them again or have the moulds etc. been lost ? That reminds me! It's about time I completed the kits I've got stashed away! RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted August 25, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 25, 2012 Not much effort though considering its just a direct copy from wikipedia. Keith But considerably more effort than many ebayers, who can hardly describe the item on sale, let alone give a helpful background.
Horsetan
But considerably more effort than many ebayers, who can hardly describe the item on sale, let alone give a helpful background speak or write English properly. There, that's a bit more accurate.
RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted August 25, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 25, 2012 There, that's a bit more accurate. True - but I am still inclined to ascribe poor English to the poor education system not just the individual. I have heard too many stories of teachers whose English was more than slightly imperfect. Who allowed them to teach others?
