Il Grifone
But it says GWR on the side!!! Need we say more? Kevin Martin It's a strange livery seeing the prototype was scrapped in 1911. Mine must have cost about a fiver! There's another one here http://www.ebay.co.u...8#ht_500wt_1362 and another for charity http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-Industrial-Locomotive-101-R2304-0-4-OT-00-Gauge-Boxed-CHARITY-/270993963268?_trksid=p4340.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DDLSL%252BSIC.NPJS%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BUA%26otn%3D10%26pmod%3D200770085952%252B200770085952%26po%3D%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D9088444254816351133#ht_544wt_1346 Edited June 12, 2012 by Il Grifone

Horsetan
Now I was wondering when one of these would show up: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/K-s-00-BR-S-Merchant-Navy-loco-kit-/130709089565 This was the kit where Keyser got confused by the firebox angles, and made the casting wider at the back instead of at the front! A bit of a strange jump from £7.59 to £30.00??????????????????? Somebody worked out what the top proxy bid was. Could have sworn these loco's had buffers... http://www.ebay.co.u...=item53df288396 ISTR that the second batch came with the bufferbeams loose after the problems when swapping the two types (breaking locating pins) supplied with the first batch. To most people. But if you had the model in mint condition, minus the inserts, then they would probably add at least double that to the selling price. It's a strange world. Il Grifone
Ignore this one! This is the common version! http://www.ebay.co.u...5#ht_500wt_1362 The rare version has the later (BR) high opening. (That is if you are interested in errors - Meccano obviously needed some GW cattle wagons but had run out of the old stampings/ the tool was knackered. The misregistered printing is also quite common! Apart from this, It's not a bad example, but there should be a box for this sort of money. The same seller has the correct item at a slightly lower starting price! Even gostude gets in on the act! (I'll leave you to decide whether a torn/missing flap merits "Crisp, factory fresh box." http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_1232wt_1112 Edited June 22, 2012 by Il Grifone
