Given the vast sum requested, where would he put the decimal point?

I can give him a suggestion, but, as it is a family forum, I can't go into much more detail!

Uhhhhh ....

followed by NO!  🤪

I bought a brand new one, Hornby R30287, for £65 (inc delivery) for my birthday a couple of weeks ago.  Of course, I DID source it a bit more locally....

There are a lot of overpriced second hand L&Y Pugs about, even more second hand and frankly past their best Caledonian Pugs too.  Does it make more sense for a Japan based buyer?

As it's located in Japan, maybe the price is supposed to be Yen, not Dollars..??? 😂

As $1:00 currently = about ¥157, maybe not.... 🤔🤷‍♂️

As someone who actually gave money to save a rushton shunter from a scrapyard last night ( I wasn't even drunk!), the urge to Press Buy it Now was almost uncontrollable.

that's the one. not that he needed my help in the end as he got the cash in about an hour, but knackered locos have the same effect on me that others get with abused donkeys and  homeless kittens.

Hunting for Bachmann HO and this appeared

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/164940446727

I have no words, guess it would look just right next to the QE2 jubbly train and the QE2 memorial train as it has coins stuck on the tender.

For the money I would expect the loco to be boxed with the certificate of authenticity and perhaps functional valve gear, even those cheepo trains look better just cheap nasty tat from the people that bring you the Franklin village/Bradford mint/Hawthorn exchange limited edition flying scotsman clock.

And an extra $133 for local postage

The only way to be merciful with that would involve a gallon of petrol and a match...
