Aye, I’ve seen the Hornby Minitrix range, not an N gauge modeller myself but certainly interesting.

Neither am I, but I knew that there had been some sort of link in the distant past.

I have been looking out for cheap dublo tinplate tank wagons, to possibly expand my collection 🤭 and briefly considered the wrenn variety,  which led me to this..

There is a wrenn version,  but this is not it!

Seems that someone cannot read what it says on the boxes?

Since probably the Wrenn version is worth more, the seller thought he would successfully con buyers!

That's not possible, there are no mug buyers on eBay are there?

Mike.

Some sellers would like to think so. No idea if these strange and expensive eBay ads work!

Another sort of eBay madness... i filed - a few days ago - an unpowered scratchbuilt LT battery locomotive locomotive that I made when I was about 15 out of thick cardboard on RTR bogies for sale.

in my opinion its a terrible model entirely lacking in detail and not even fully square, wearing a livery the prototype never saw. I pointed this out in the advert and optimistically filed it with a starting price of £10.

Currently at £31 after numerous bids.   I'm not pleased to make far more than I expected, as much as worried they aren't reading the advert and will complain on receiving it...
Hope the fact of my own slating of it's quality in the advert text protects me...

perhaps it's time to start building another!

On another thread:

Doctor, doctor: "Ballasting turned my track yellow…"!!

😲

I suppose it depends on what was used to dilute the PVA...

A once in a lifetime opportunity to own a train set bought by our late Queen who apparently used her connections to get hold of German N gauge Minitrix.

A regal pricetag

"These products was gifted to me by her majesty the Queen royal servant which he was given by the Queen of England herself.

Due to financial circumstances I have to let go of these products"

Must win a prize for the most unique description on eBay - ever!?

He sounds like the prince who phoned me once from Nigeria, telling me he'd fallen on hard times.

Wasn't there once a photo circulating on the web, allegedly showing a Nigerian's fortune in his apartment, that he was unable to give away and he sadly died before his mission was started, because no one believed him!

Definitely madness.

A collection of 15 miscellaneous pieces of Trix Twin fibre based track for only 60 quid

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175575976083

But it IS free postage!

Same vendor, but a ticket to instant electrocution for a penny less than 110 quid

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175575952488

Again free postage, the bakelite plug and rubber mains cable indicates what you might be letting yourself in for...
