Porfuera
Apologies because I think this may have been been posted before but these always make me laugh - £8 (sometimes more) for an empty cider bottle plus £8 postage, when you can buy a full one at Tesco for £5 or so. I've lost count of the number of these I have put in the recycling. But then maybe I'm the mug for not trying to sell them on eBay! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294327054069?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338749401&toolid=20006&customid=GB_11700_294327054069.143193710335~1893258868034-g_Cj0KCQiA45qdBhD-ARIsAOHbVdG7ygrBgvh8S0Y4kQYJsL6_73u5oaQGDMuaFF-gRNhHXm6tj-hUWmMaAsluEALw_wcB Edited December 24, 2022 by Porfuera 2

However I think even I'd baulk at charging £500 postage... I was thinking that maybe it was a decimal point error in the prices but there are several more - and this is about the only thing that the seller hasn't described as "rare" or "very rare"! Happy Christmas to all! Cheers, Neil. This one has been on the go for months. I did message the seller and ask about the postage and was told that he wanted more money so bulked up the postage price. That its still hanging around means that no-one has been taken in by it.....yet. 1

RMweb Gold The Johnster Posted December 25, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 25, 2022 (edited) Especially the attempt to invoke the classy vibe of a ‘Pullman’ power bogie. This was used on the Southern emu, Metrocam dmu, and the TC range Budd railcar before it was resorted to on the Blue Pullmans. None of those vehicles had correct bogies except the emu power; all used Triang’s generic B1s IIRC. Not a bad runner (I had a Southern emu) in it’s day, and not the worst possible representation of a Southern power bogie, but very noisy, even by the standards of the day This little 4-wheeled Drewry is actually pretty much the sort of thing I might have kitbashed when I was about 10 years old, but I didn’t… I did use my emu power bogie to convert a Triang brake van into an ersatz Wisbech & Upwell loco, though. Not proud of this, but confession is good for the soul! You’ve got to give The Gostudester the benefit of the doubt I suppose, as the power bogie might have actually come from a Triang Blue Pullman, but how His Gostudinicity would know this is moot. sidmouth
Ultimately and looking at sold items , people are willing to pay the prices , so who is the fool now ? I know its quite entertaining to be outraged at the prices but the twisting of the name and derogatory inclusion is really a bit low
