MrWolf
I've dropped him a polite note to take a look at these two locos, it might save him a costly return if either sells. 1
MrWolf
I've had a prompt and polite response from the seller, this is the actual position regarding loco 4321 and loco 3200. "New message from: barriesattic (37,421TURQUOISE_SHOOTING_STAR Star) hi i totally get what your saying BUT here is the oddity the loco with the airfix chassis and kit built tender ( 4321 ) has NO power at all...not in chassis or tender ( i will adjust listing ) the other one has a triang chassis ( 3200 ) and the tender is from a airfix loco but all the motor components have been removed so your kind of half correct hope that clears things up its all part of a scottish deceased estate ....where i sold over 200 kit built locos ( highland railways etc ) best regards...merry xmas...barrie" That clears up the confusion I think, I've no connection with the seller other than having bought a number of items where I was more than happy with what I got for the price.
RMweb Gold Darius43 Posted December 16, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 16, 2022 Yet another Mazak-afflicted Hornby Class 31 At least I strongly suspect it is. So that equates to “good boxed condition” - apart from the not so good aspects. Yours for only £109.50 + £4 p&p. Cheers Darius

6990WitherslackHall
Not train related but still eBay madness. I was looking for a Clone Captain Rex (Star Wars) Lego figure in phase 2 clone armour. I found several in my search and people were asking A LOT of money for just for one figure. One was advertised for £55! They all seemed to be around that price Too much for a Lego figure. I would have sold it for a couple of quid.

Boxed: YES How is it in good condition with the issues listed? Slow runner: Probably partially seized due to distortion. Some parts loose inside... That bodes well! Face it Rails, it's a parts donor. They also have this, which was highlighted earlier by @Paul H Vigor, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233869013183?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=RCidPT2rTsa&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=3qkTzGg7QRS&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I'd looked at it when my phone was in monochrome mode, stating that I thought it might bring a few hundred as a piece of folk art. Now I see it in colour, I'm even less convinced. The yellow underpainting, (Why? Red oxide would be more convincing for something home made) which makes me think of a primer used on structural steelwork that is to have an intumescent coating. Possibly made in India last year... Whatever it is, it's not £6500. 1

I have often been tempted by quite charming Indian tinplate toys based on old cars, buses and trams etc. that seem to sell in the £20 to £40 range in our retro market and one or two of the more down market antique shops around here. I have yet to succumb. 2
