Yes, there's your time (fair enough) but a lot of people claim it uses lots of electricity. Some time ago I helped a friend with a car restoration and we kept an eye on the electrical costs. We took an Austin A40 and basically replaced the bottom foot of the bodywork by cutting out and welding, then performed a full bare metal respray. The work took three months of spare time and upped the quarterly electric bill by approximately £30 compared to the previous year. Obviously, if you are selling said locomotive body, you want compensation for your time, skills, equipment and materials costs, which is absolutely fair, but the physical cost isn't that great. 2 2 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
