There's also this recent addition from Rails:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/195490055348?hash=item2d841d84b4:g:QBAAAOSwsjBjf5~6

And this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/195450043372?hash=item2d81bafbec:g:zbAAAOSwcHJjY5P8 - must be quite a rough ride without that front bogie!

🤔

That's a Trix 2/3 rail Warship. I have one and its a nice runner.

Another scrapyard special. There's a chap about to hit the buffer of a Deltic with a pickaxe...

Can we guess what would happen next?

Does it involve:

A. A Tom and Jerry moment

B. A Roadrunner moment

C. Other unspecified Looney Tunes moment

I'd be surprised if they'd paid a tenner for either loco.

Rails of Sheffield and their “very good condition”…

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134347361227?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=7NGT9XstTyC&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=e--l92_9TXi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Erm…

HOURS OF FUN!

PS

They do admit that the chimney is loose in the box … but that’s not where it should be…

I feel they have a very loose definition of “good condition”

Not only is the 'CHIMNEY LOOSE IN BOX', but said box is described as 'SLIGHTLY TIRED'! I assume it didn't have a good NYTOL?

'Is this bit supposed to come off?' 🤓

From DieHard IV I believe.

Bruce: "Is this bit supposed to come off?"

Hacker nerd: "No, but thanks, they're much more valuable when they're broken"

A line which Rails obviously didn't realize was sarcasm...

This, for me at least, is only one step away from putting a face on the front and calling it Thomas in the vein of ‘it’s a train, of course the nerds will empty their pockets at the mere sight of it’, without bothering to put any thought into what’s being modelled and why. The web is awash with pics of Deltics on the scrap lines at Doncaster; they didn’t sit around long enough to end up looking like this.

I thought all the Deltics were scrapped in B.R. blue livery. I'm not aware of any that were in two tone green livery when scrapped. Though, at the time in 1982, I was only a new born baby, so stand to be corrected if I am wrong.

I wouldn’t worry if it’s the same guy then he’s done streamlined Duchess of Hamilton before. Maybe the NRMA are not telling us something.
