Aye, but it's "A very rare kit" ...

Oooooohhhhh....

Someone needs to buy it, attempt to build it* and then sell it on ebay as L@@K RARE KITBUILT!!!

* And slap on a coat of lumpy black gloss paint before leaving it to dry in a dusty room...

Would that be "rare" as in "Not well done"?

Using either a fork or the brush from the outside lav for application purposes of course...

After tea, you need to go outside with your little brother and beat the s**t out of each other with garden rakes.

That is the honourable path of the Monkey God....

Not ebay, but a black Friday deal ....

https://www.themodelcentre.com/j50scrappre

Pre-owned, only one left and it's an unboxed non-runner, but that's a very good saving on its regular price.

The TMC SKU# says all you need to know, its J50SCRAPPRE

Or for £109.99 you can buy it from TMC on ebay!

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255693491490

TBH If I wanted a J50, I'd prefer paying £71.45 (inc P&P) for a working one.

Where’s your sarcasm indicator?

For the price TMC are asking, I could get one of those from eBay that is boxed and  runs!

I have previously posted that I think TMC are buying up second hand items cheaply, giving them a quick once over (say 5 minutes) with an airbrush to “expertly weather” them in order to justify the inflated prices they then tag on. An event like Black Friday then gives TMC the opportunity to slash their prices and at first glance seem to have given a huge discount. Except, of course, the price is still over inflated for what it actually is (IMHO)…

Quick look at TMC’s massively overpriced eBay shop and …

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255681122348?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=fAWLmTZMTG-&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=e--l92_9TXi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

5p change from £250 for a non-runner?!

Okay, weathering applied but at the end of the day this is a second hand item …

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265777999080?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=fAWLmTZMTG-&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=e--l92_9TXi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Brand new (guaranteed) Hornby class 71s can be had for less than £100, so three times that amount?!

Incidentally, no mention of Black Friday in any of TMC’s eBay offerings…

HOURS OF FUN!
