He also has another scratch built loco for sale of an AEC diesel shunter which looks very tasty. Current prices £46 for the fireless and £35 for the unique AEC industrial diesel.

Well worth a punt - before Gostude buys them and relists them at 10x his purchase price, to languish in the Sargasso Sea of Overpriced eBay Items for all eternity!

I've put in a bid for the AEC loco, the only bid so far.

Hmmm... I noticed!

Not to worry - I'm not going to be starting a bidding war, despite liking small shunting locos! Hope you win it!

£300 with 3 days to go seems rather a lot for a Hornby Mk3 DVT in Arriva Trains Wales livery.

Interesting bidding pattern, the two top bidders have identical feedback scores....

Yes seems very coincidental :mosking:

It would seem pointless if this really was the same person. The bid history has the classic pattern of two bidders succumbing to bidding frenzy, there's another one listed so who else is suddenly going to enter the fray when it is already over 2 x the historic going rate for this model?

This is eBay remember!

To paraphrase Dante, abandon hope (and common sense) all ye who enter here.

Though he would have said, more elegantly, Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch'intrate.

And, as Billy Shakespeare's Dithering Dane might have put it, "To ebay or not to ebay, that is the question"...

The vendor also has this.

I'm struggling to diffentiate between the two...

And this one

just boggles the imagination.

I like his Rare & Cheap LMS 8F which apparently has an RRP of £400 - where, Monaco?  As it's hand-painted (quite well) I think it might have depreciated a little.

Perhaps the seller specialises in selling to people who never shop around.  You know, those numerous people who've never bought anything from anyone, anywhere, ever.

A couple of things missing here, like 1000 numbers off the number plate, an axle and a couple of wheels. "Looks to be repainted"

Safety valve cover?

Mind you, 7 quid for an X04 isn't too bad these days.

Plus £4.45 delivery.  If an inexpensive X04 was required, I suppose one could split it and relist the body and chassis separately?

At this price, there must be something wrong with it...

It says it has a

motor with course gearing

Perhaps its intended for racing.  Are those Nitrous Oxide cylinders? :scratchhead:
