MrWolf
In fairness I think that it should be pointed out that it is not he who is selling these items and as I said earlier, none of you would work for so little return given the asking price. RMweb Gold Hroth Posted April 8, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 8, 2021 Some time ago we discussed an ebay offering of a shop carrier bag at some eyewatering for price AND delivery. Although they're even more off topic, I've just found some neatly folded paper bags for Probe Records, Liverpool (who are still going and re-opening* on the 12th!) and probably date from the late 70s... And that was when 50p was worth 50p! I wonder how much they would be worth on ebay? * Though they're not on the corner at Button Street nowadays. 1 2

MrWolf
Barely used. Taken from the box, dropped out of 2nd floor window, put back in box.... 2 1
RMweb Gold Hroth Posted April 9, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 9, 2021 The second one might be a Bachmann version, less "detail" on the tank top, thinner chimney, strange steam dome, top feed and anorexic boiler, odd looking TLC on the front and (though I can't be sure) a moving eye face. Frightening! The Hornby one is "barely used" for a given value of "barely". Probably means that it came out of its box, it got damaged, and was put back in the box. 2
RMweb Gold big jim Posted April 9, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 9, 2021 Must admit I sold an ‘Oliver’ about 10 years ago when Dominic grew out of Thomas and even used (ie played with by a kid) it went for stupid money back then, I seem to remember I paid about £25 for it and sold it for about £100 4 1

Peter-C
I can only assume that someone's entered the postage wrong... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-Triang-OO-Gauge-Royal-Mail-Parcel-Van-Wagon-Train-Set-R119-Working-Doors/144002056562?hash=item2187310172:g:Qg4AAOSwF8Zgbwwd Price: £7.99 Postage: £550! Quote Despatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class signed for. Insured & Tracked. Postage to mainland UK only. So it's being posted from the UK, to the UK... I'm not sure one of those coaches is worth "insuring", whatever that means, or £550 postage unless it's been filled with lead weights! -Peter EDIT: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Rare-R455-Tri-ang-Hornby-0-4-0-Industrial-Tank-Locomotive-25550/393235714988?hash=item5b8eacd3ac:g:XQcAAOSwj05gbIcP seems to be a bit steep too...
