I suspect that some people advertise items speculatively, don't really want to sell it but will if someone else is willing to pay daft money. It certainly happens regularly with old motorcycles. It's usually people who don't need the money either. If this sells, I think I will put mine up for £200, seeing as it is in 1930s livery and being brown AND cream required twice as much expenditure on paint! Any takers before I list it?

Darius When I list things I go out of my way to avoid any subjective statements about quality which could be challenged later, especially if a buyer just changes their mind and needs an excuse. If people can get away with listing this sort of rubbish I wonder why I bother!

I cant afford to keep buying indefinitely so will sell some items on to fund new purchases but since I dont really want to, will only do so buy it now at a price I can't refuse. Not ludicrously high - I keep an eye on auctions and pitch at the higher end - but definitely not priced to shift immediately.
RMweb Premium Compound2632 Posted March 7, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 7, 2020 Discussed a few days ago: It's a stab at a 30 Class 2-2-2 in Kirtley condition - I expect someone was justifiably proud of it as a first attempt. The tender has a suspiciously Great Westernish look to it, though. Not sure the current bid is justified.
